ABOUT DANA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, LLC

John Dana was born and raised near Avon, Montana where his family owned a working cattle ranch. The family relocated to Trout Creek, Montana in the late 80's and in 1991 John moved  to Sandpoint, Idaho.

He began his career working for a locally owned lumber yard, which was a major supplier for the custom home industry. He worked his way up to an outside salesman position, which he held for 13yrs.

In 2007, John acquired his general contractors license and began working for Campbell & Campbell, a custom home builders based out of Coeur d' Alene, where he worked as project manger building custom homes in The Club at Black Rock. Shortly after going to work for Randy, he was promoted to  Randy's lead project manager and general manager for the business. Over the course of his career as a supplier and contractor, John has looked at and worked on well over 2500 + custom homes.

John has an extensive, consistent group of skilled craftsman and suppliers in the area which he counts on. They pride themselves in providing the highest quality work, paying special attention to details. To be a member of our team, trades and sub-contractors must posses the following qualities: professionalism, positive attitude, proper attire and cleanliness. Our job sites are a drug and alcohol free environment. No smoking is aloud in the houses during construction.

 

We realize your time is valuable, jobs are run with a realistic construction schedule and are under constant project management. Whether it is your first or last home, addition or  remodel, cabin to high end custom home, all our projects are welcome and run with the same professional practices.

John and his wife Kim, a native of Sandpoint, share the love of everything that makes North Idaho great. They enjoy activities from farming, riding horses to fishing, and taking drives up into the local mountains in their all original 1973 Scout II. They have a son, Cody, and when he was younger, Cody was heavily involved in the Bonner County  4-H programs. During that time John was  more than willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. John also has an interest in antique trucks & tractors, which, led to him becoming a member of the local antique tractor club  and America Truck Historical Society.  He is currently is serving on the board and is treasure for the Panhandle Antique Tractor and Engine Club, and is in charge of their annual display at the Bonner County Fair.
